Many are designed for Ableton Live’s Session View. They’re made for intuitive beatmaking and sequencing. Novation has roughly the same setup with their Launch Control XL, but it's a little pricier at around $160. These MIDI controllers focus on pads and buttons. You could instead consider using buttons to 'page up and down' kinda like an octave up/down button works on a midi keyboard controller. An Akai MIDImix is less than half the price with the exact amount of knobs OP is looking for, plus sliders and buttons. Rotary encoders are knobs that can turn infinitely in either direction and are better suited for automated parameters that can change a lot over time, like LFO. A 3.5 or 3.6 has more analog inputs but may be overkill in other respects. ![]() At around $215 not including shipping, OP might be better off buying something that's already assembled, unless they absolutely need all 60 knobs (it's more than double what they're looking for, so 60 might be a bit excessive). ![]()
